Its Friday...

This is my little angel at age 6mo and 1 year old, helping me in the office. For those of you who didn't know, Riley went to work with me everyday for her first 2 years of life. For the most part she was very helpful; I taught her to send faxes (pre-programed #'s) She would hand me papers out of the printer (with minor damage). We frequented some of the nicest restaurants in Riverside and they all knew her by name. Everyone in the building loved her being there, even if she ran down the halls screaming. I got to use the carpool lane there and back! I miss having her around but boy do I get allot of work done with out her. I am so thankful my boss was gracious enough to let me do this, because of him I never had to worry about who was watching my sunshine.

Lynn and I celebrated our 21st birthdays with Elvis in Vegas. I don't know why he is making that face, looks like he has gas! In case you were wondering turning 21 in Vegas wasn't lucky for me, I came home a big looooooser!

Me, Lynn (BFF) & her oldest sis Sara at a Dixie Chicks concert in 2000. I wasn't so much into the music much, just there to have a good time with the girls. Awe I miss being blond.. being a brunette the last few months just isn't as fun. Not have roots all the time is the only cool part.

Just because I was feeling a little morbid this morning... Every year before Halloween (my fav. holiday) I take my daughter to an old cemetery in the area, with real headstones (hard to find around here) and snap a few pictures. Any who this one is in downtown Riverside and its one of my favorites..... the grass is dead, its deserted yet surrounded by a thriving neighborhood. This place just has a charm about it that gets me in the mood for Halloween and its a tradition for Riley and me. So don't judge me.. I'm morbid and I like it so there!

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, my job as "mommy" and the job that pays me $$$ have been kicking my butt this week....

Flashback Friday

Me on my big-wheel 1983. Riley on her "big-wheel" 2007. On the same sidewalk in front on my Mom & Dads house. WOW, I would have never guessed that 24 years later my daughter would be able to play in the very same neighborhood, that I had so much fun in. Thanks Mom & Dad for everything.

This my friends, is the aftermath of my senior prom. Yes that is a younger, tanner version of yours truley on the far left. My BFF Lynn (pasty white girl in the center) brought "douche bag" of the month, in the black shirt. I took my B/F at the time, he was 21...YAH. My male BFF Bobby (on the end) provided the drunken entertainment, I believe he called her his date! lol. Lynn and I still talk about this memorable night.... I honestly couldnt provide the silly details of where we ate dinner, where we stayed that night, or where prom was held for that matter... All I know is I had an awsome time with my BFF's that night. Love you guys dearly...

Not Friday but a flash back

I thought I would start this NEW blog with with a few flash backs from my past. I intend to post a past picture every Friday; hence the name Flashback Friday.. Please enjoy a good laugh at my expense.

Sweet little me at the age of 3.... ohhh how things change.

This is me at the Berlin Zoo in 1985 (ish) and yes those are real Lions. I am unsure if the Zoo still does this, but it was cool. I believe this picture confirms my abnormal love for animals.

July 1999-My first and last tattoo at the age 19. This was the most pain my young body had ever experienced....Looking back on this, I may have been a little dramatic. This felt like a massage compared to the pain of giving birth.

Jan 2001- Having my first LEGAL drink in Vegas. Check out the red nails... WTF was I thinking?

Nov 2005- I don't normally like to end on a sad note but I was perusing my pre-baby pictures and found this gem. Its the scale the day I found out I was prego... some numbers I will NEVER see again......
