Christmas 2009

This year I opted to have a very low-key Christmas... Mainly because Mommy is on the verge of losing her sanity due to the disarray of the new house. You see as calculated as I had planned the big move to be it was anything but. The new house was 90% complete when the movers dropped all of the furniture off in the garage... Did I mention my sick obsession for enormous furniture? That bites me in the butt every time we move, A friend mentioned wow, Jenni every time I come here your stuff gets bulkier. Ya so basically everything was piled in the garage for 2 weeks, while I slowly and meticulously put it in its place. Any who enough of my moving woe's..... On to Christmas facts.........My mom had to work Christmas day (Thanks to Gov Arnie and California's financial mess) my Sister's Hubs was working at the fire station this year, so it was just Mom & Dad, me, Brett, Riley and my Sister. I cooked, my sis handled desserts, Riley set the table and we ate when my Mom got home @ 330. It was the most stress free Christmas in history!
Christmas morning Riley was up at 530 AM, she usually sleeps until 8... Ehhh I hate when shes up early, I am so not a morning person! First present she noticed was the Persian Kitten that Santa named Gizmo. (Hey, Riley wanted to name him eyelash)

Gizmo, her new smashed face kitty, as she described to everyone that called that morning. I love how she tells the story.. Once upon a time, I wanted a kitty... I was good, so Santa poked him down the chimney.. AND I got a tendo DS ....The end! The she unwrapped a "tendo DS" Just like she always wanted..LOL I'd like to thank my Bro in Law for introducing her to the magic of Mobile video games. As if the Ipod touch wasn't enough now I have to make sure I have the charger for this little gem too!

Here is Riley telling me that her new spongey-bob watch says its time to go open presents at Grandma & Grandpas house. A 7AM, after all the tissue paper was claned up we enjoyed the baked treats from her easy bake oven... Not so yummy but I ate em with a smile.

Oh look Gizzy feels right at home!
Its OK Gizz don't get up Ill use the other computer...

This is Riley and Bubba crashed out on the old couch for the last time....... Because Santa delivered Mommy all new furniture YEHHH. And the biggest thing Daddy got was a PlayStation 3... Hmmm must have been on the naughty list!
So the next pic's you will see is the new living room with stuff on the walls.. I've just been waiting for furniture placement. Yeh almost done.

Thanksgiving... a month late

What a surprize....... Thanksgiving traffic! It lasted for about an hour then we were moving again... Next stop Havasu Landing CA for Thanksgiving week.

Its November right?? Someone remind this kid the water is way to cold... She had her swim suit out of the bag before we pulled up in the driveway.

"Come on in mommy, the water is fine"

"Naw, mommy is going to sit here in her sweats with hot coco, you go ahead Riley!"Grandpa gave my old quad a tune-up and a new set of tires. (Looks brand new) I seriously can not believe he kept it, it must be 20+ years old.. Riley loved it.

And so the Poker Run begins........... Seven "official card stops" scattered along a 10 mile trail, who ever get the best hand wins! Riley rode in the jeep with my sis and some friends.

My Dad and his BFF of 30+ years (true rednecks)

Group shot of all the cars at "drink stop #1"

Me & Riley on top of fire rock "drink stop # 9"
Bravely watching Mamas cooler........Filled with sodas and juice boxes, I swear!
My sis demonstrating proper use of the mobile port-o-potty. Because I don't pee in the dirt!
Odd= Grown man wearing a metal helmet holding a spider. A former Chino resident, now a local.
Patiently waiting to see who won .....Our group won longest time 4 hours 56 mins to go 10 miles. A personal best for me.
I had an amazing time with my parents, sis and Riley.... Just like old times!

RIP 4Runner

After years of faithful boat launching service and 100's of drunk'in debauchery missions in the desert; the 4runner's poor little motor couldnt take any more and blew up. Ahhh the memories (sniff sniff). She will ride again, once we get the motor rebuilt but no time for that. Thanksgiving weekend was fast approaching and we needed a replacement ASAP! No way was Riley missing the Poker run! So I spent and entire weekend driving around with my dad to find this Lil' beauty..... She an automatic, no more stick shift BS.. Do you know how hard it is to drive and hold your cup at the same time???? While I was having fun with Grandpa (mapping out every stop via my phone), Riley got to go to Kiddo Jail AKA Chino Youth Museum with her teacher Miss K.
